Cynicallyricism

Mani Fetso

We study thoroughly all previous theories of deconstructive behavior.

We call upon all men and women to create forms of unconventional thinking.

We use arts and science in order to achieve humanism.

We believe that reason and inspiration are undivided.

We live a playful life.

We denounce all forms of authoritarianism and totalitarianism.

We use lyricism to beautify cynicism.

We use cynicism to deconstruct lyricism.

We believe in freedom of expression.

We value friendship as an important element of happiness.

We believe that all people should have access to food,
water, education and healthcare.

We oppose the profit oriented consumerism
and the ideas of individualistic social norms.

We believe that natural resources belong to humankind.

We denounce dogmas and institutionalized religion.

We promote poetry, music, painting, theater and gymnastics.

We try to: laugh as we feel, cry as we feel and act as we feel.

We treat earth as our mother.

We believe that all elements of nature are precious
and indispensable for our happiness.

We tell stories. We hear other peoples’ stories.

We talk about our dreams.

We want existent things, not the time which measures things.

We believe that where there is a problem there is a solution
and we must work together to find it.

We help children, elderly people and anyone in need.

We value happiness more than we value comfort.

We believe in change but we are not forcing it.

We love drama as much as action.

We want a society of people based on empathy and kindness.

We embrace the chaotic nature of things and use it
for the liberation our consciousness.

We strongly believe that experiences and practical knowledge
are important for a balanced life.

We like to be vulnerable and clumsy so we can learn.

We see the ability of people to communicate their feelings without any guilt.

We are the Argonauts of true sensations.

We try to take some rest for a few hours during the day.

We sit down and we walk again.

We are committed to live well.

We don’t see human relations in a casual light.

We admire physical strength but we also seek inner beauty.

We deposit orgasms and capitalize happiness.

We love lemon trees.

We don’t want to think of things as time-bound.

We have no philosophy, we have senses.

We pass and we remain.

We are the love we give.

"…But the yogis are emerging,
shoes off and ready to bask in metabolic revolution.
And our places are still there — those places that mark us, that follow us wherever we go, tugging at us to return — unchanged by sterile cartography, ugly, xenophobic nationalism and the tar-streaked designs of corporate mobility. Look closer.
The antidote is there … accidentally sucked into the vacuum bag."

{Village elders say I resemble my grandfather in his youth}

{Ι never met him}

{ But listening to them again and again, won me over}

{They say my grandfather and I share facial expressions}

Ιδιοσυγκρασία και ασχολίες {Temperaments and hobbies}
{Almost as if we came from the same womb}

{They nicknamed him "John the Dancer", they called me "the lighter"

Του άρεσε να χορεύει {he loved dancing}
Μου αρέσει να ταξιδεύω {I love traveling}

Του άρεσε να λύνει γρίφους {he liked guessing riddles}
Μου αρέσει να "διαβάζω" τους ανθρώπους {I like "reading"people}

{In the summer of 1941, the German Nazis invaded and occupied Crete}.

{They burned my grandfather alive in a concentration camp in Austria}
Ήταν 40 ετών {He was 40 years old}
Φέτος γίνομαι 41 {This year I turn 41}

Three soldiers

Three soldiers are dancing,
crystallized by fear.
Caress the beautiful memory of your childhood.
People and faces are so familiar and yet so strange.

Armed with cynicism,
standing alone,
watching beautiful paintings while winter clouds cover the mountaintop.

Those days are over.
"Little by little I will drive them out before you
until you have increased enough to take possession of the land"
But what if the passenger pigeon could be brought back?

Toy soldiers are dancing around the Christmas tree.
Snowflakes have a secret life.

Celebrate the familiarity of contradiction.
A long journey without a goal is a journey worth living for.

You were a good soldier back then, you are a good soldier now.

There's a cat among the pigeons and a soldier among the wolves.

There is a secret code you are cracking, that's where the light comes in.
Codes and pigeons,
soldiers and snowflakes,
secrets and lies,
beautiful myths and lonely mothers,
cats and candies,
possessions and fears,
Darkness and light,
Cracks and memories.
Let's dance.
