"I Have Learned So Much" –Hafiz, Persian poet (1315 – 1390), translated by Daniel Lazinsky

I
Have
Learned
So much from God
That I can no longer
Call Myself
A Christian, a Hindu, a Muslim,
A Buddhist, a Jew.
The Truth has shared so much of Itself
With me
That I can no longer call myself
A man, a woman, an angel,
Or even pure Soul.
Love has be friended Hafiz so completely
It has turned to ash
And freed Me
Of every concept and image
My mind has ever known.

You don’t have a choice anymore

That was it,
It’s over.
You can’t escape the mill of your life anymore.
You are stuck, we are stuck.
You are addicted.
You don’t have a choice anymore.
Applications, regulations, innovations are multiplying like cancer cells inside your body.
No one cares for you; nobody gives a fuck about your needs.
Your needs are tailor-made by their profit.
You are the little mouse in the cage.
Your convenience is butter on their bread.
Do you ever think about happiness?
Do you even think about bread anymore?
What do you think?
Do you ever feel weak and vulnerable?
How do you feel?
When was the last time you have been treated like a human being? Like a vulnerable human being.
They are laughing at you and most importantly they are laughing for you!
They are happy for you.
You make them happy because you are surrounded; you gave up without a fight.
You eat whatever they feed you; you curse whatever you have been taught to curse.
You move in circles, from your bed, to the office and back. Your agenda has a bank and a happy hour. Your loneliness is killing me. You are killing me because you gave up.
I used to think that maybe you’ll change, how stupid I was.
It seems the damage is done, for good.
I should probably stop bother.
I will not give in to the convenient prison that is made with your ignorance.
I choose the trees, the bees, the birds, the laughs, the love, the pain and the cries.
I think I’ll choose life for now.
Good apps!

Happiness Machines

The story of the relationship between Sigmund Freud and his American nephew, Edward Bernays. Bernays invented the public relations profession in the 1920s and was the first person to take Freud's ideas to manipulate the masses. He showed American corporations how they could make people want things they didn't need by systematically linking mass-produced goods to their unconscious desires.

Bernays was one of the main architects of the modern techniques of mass-consumer persuasion, using every trick in the book, from celebrity endorsement and outrageous PR stunts, to eroticising the motorcar.

His most notorious coup was breaking the taboo on women smoking by persuading them that cigarettes were a symbol of independence and freedom. But Bernays was convinced that this was more than just a way of selling consumer goods. It was a new political idea of how to control the masses. By satisfying the inner irrational desires that his uncle had identified, people could be made happy and thus docile.

It was the start of the all-consuming self which has come to dominate today's world.

Not even the monkeys

These people don't talk,
they don't walk,
they don't laugh,
These people exist as a part of the decoration and not as an integral part of nature.
These people hurt me because they have no feelings,
Even worst, they don't even care about feelings.
Their life is not theirs anymore. They live through symbolism of consumption. They perceive a reality totally different than mine.
These people are ready to crucify me, and you and anyone who expresses feelings and passion for truth.
They don't know, they don't want to learn.
They are already dead inside.
The smell of their body is a smell of death.
Nothing it's natural, nothing is innocent anymore.
They like to act, they like to mimic, they are like monkeys.
These people create hate because they don't allow someone to be real.
Their mannerisms are the mannerisms of a monkey.
These people are not people anymore, worst thing is that these people are not even monkeys.
