Too small to fail

A village in the middle of nowhere,

An ancient attraction,

No place to call home,

Few flowers bending in the delicate breeze,

Standing at the gates of Athens,

Your special guests are coming,

To our imperfect souls,

King of the Gods,

Where are your wings now?

Modern-day Greece wept secretly,

Epic of Gilgamesh sounds old,

We’ve been locked away,

They came for us with guns,

An ancient oak with brass braces,

The moral bind of the law,

We lost our marbles in the desert,

Grey is the colour of our world,

This place was beautiful,

We gave birth to stones,

We’re supposed to be celebrating,

We are condemned to be free,

We’ve reached to the holy city of Jerusalem,

Such a lovely bones,

The young soldier cried: “I finally see the future”.

We were important but small,

We grew tiny,

Epic Homer sounds old,

Our little village is full of joy,

Our gatekeepers abandoned us,

Too small to care,

We grew older,

Our little marbles will keep the secret.
