Honey bees in Athens
We were beautiful and young, once.
You took advantage of us.
Beautiful tulips, honey bees and gelato, under the summer
skies.
Athens and Jerusalem were so melancholic back then.
“Love is the air”, you said.
“Don’t be a dreamer”, I said.
The bloom of our youth was consumed by these thoughts.
Sit back and marvel at the morning sun.
The illusion of many choices is so distracting and tempting.
It brings back bittersweet memories of a future city.
“A brave new world” you said,
“A brave old world” I said.
I am looking for a good listener.
Better than me.
Time flies,
So do honey bees.
Nothing remains the same and yet love will prevail.
Love, gelato and honey bees will prevail.
Next year in Athens!
Do not get old!
We still need you.
